toss up... lol

now i'm in a bit of a pickle... should i buy a car or a motorbike????? and if i should buy a motorbike what should i get??? lol... do any mofos have motorbikes? i'm talking road bikes btw.

i've been looking for a bike for a little while and i've come up with the Kawasaki zzr 250
note: i get my L's soon and am restricted to a 250.


am still looking but just want to know what some mofo's thoughts were... and i'm bored as hell so need a new topic to talk about .

mum's bike

fuck dude there nice, i was going to get a bike (just for around my mums) but then i remembered i don't like being outside and would rather get a new guitar. but that red one (lol) would be awesome but be careful, we need all you m0f0's in one peace. bikes are cheap-ish right? so that's what i would go for. put up some prices/links

you can find basically all prices and that on bikepoint.com.au. the one in the pic is $3,750 its an 04 model.

there is some more zzr's on the site 08 model and are going for $5000 which i think is pretty reasonable... but yeah bikes a pretty cheap compared to cars.

bikes like this^^ are alright but i just don't really like how the seat is... its kinda weird looking. i prefer the ZZR's seat.

or i could go a completely different direction and go for a cruiser like what mum has got.

all these bikes are within the price range of under $5,000 which i wouldn't want to go over... because i don't have any moneys...

anyway this is all i've come up with now.

I would go for a car, based purely on the weather being a factor.

If you don't care about the weather and want to save some big $$$ on fuel get the ZZR!

I own a VTR 250, I spend around $15-$20 per 300km. In my Mitsubishi Mirage(Small "Fuel efficient" hatchback) I spend $45-$50 for 450km, you do the math.




Cruisers SUCK for traffic, but look oh so badass. The turning circle and steering is a lot slower. They are generally heavier and suck more fuel. With most 250's you wont have to worry though. Built for looks, not speed.

With the ZZR you get fairing, it will get scratched if you drop the bike and will devalue the bike. I have not dropped my bike yet(Knock on wood), but a lot of learners do drop their bikes. Steering is also pretty tight on a bike like this due to the fairing getting in the way. Sports style seating gets uncomfortable very quickly, so if you doing long commutes this could get annoying. Do not buy a CBR, they are hugely overpriced when buying 2nd hand. They are solid bikes though, if you got cash to blow then go for it.

Something like my VTR(Naked bike) is a great all rounder, the sitting position is "neutral" which keeps you comfortable longer. Steering is great, I weave through traffic no problem. No fairing SUCKS on the freeways, but you get used to it. It looks damn sexy(Ok biast opinion).

Anyway, just my thoughts.

cool man consider your advice considered... lol. btw my dad just got a triumph speedmaster it is fucking sweet. it is a cruiser and has the fairing etc. but it is really good fucking soo big. but yeah... i'm gonna save some money and try and go for the zzr.

i know i have a bigger toss up now... either i get a car or a motorbike or a new computer....
anyway i think i'm getting a motorbike... seeing that i sort of allready have a car and my computer doesn't seem that bad seeing that it can run left 4 dead ( i don't feel so bad now that i know it can run this) so yeah looks like a motorbike coming my way.

Oh ya, and we all know Jap bikes are the shit. DO NOT BUY a Hyosung. Cheap parts for a cheap bike means a lot of maintenance and money spent on fixing shit. ZZR's are solid though if your still thinking that route.

i tell you what the ninjas do look pretty sweet... but i don't have the money... i'm just gonna buy a cheap zzr but hopefully one that looks good and runs sweet... i'm going to have a look at one today so i'll keep you posted on what i think about it.

well... this is what i got



got it for $2850 was an ok price for an ok bike. not the absolute best condition but it is a nice bike all the same... all in all i'm quite happy with it for a first bike.

anyway... you wouldn't happen to know a good way to fix up a few cracks in a fairing would you Sabba??? just the bike needs a little bit of tlc on the fairing side of things... i've looked at a few forums and shit and they all say kinda the same thing... which is to plastic weld it sort of... which i could probably do... any help would be appreciated.

I have no idea, I just researched the bikes before buying one. All the mechanical/body work stuff is for my mechanics.
