I *love* the Fallout series.

Seeing the detail people have put into their costumes is amazing and very impressive. I have no idea how LRPG's work but I am sure it was fun.

Fallout 3 is brilliant in its own right, but I do agree Fallout 2 was better.

xtremejoker and I were discussing this not too long ago. Games used to be more enjoyable because the graphics were actually pretty crappy so you filled in the blanks with your imagination. I think thats why I loved Fallout 2 so much more.
