i am hopefully getting a new laptop in the next few days and i was wondering if any one knows if there good or had any personal experience with it

i thought it looked good + its MEGA cheap
i just hope the transaction works out.

Anyways, looks pretty good man, although GFX card is pretty meh.

I think laptops are pretty lame in general; I just don't like using them. : )

Nice Work. Although in all honesty I am not a fan of dell (maybe except for a few of their screens) some people at work have them and they are having problems and about 1 year old. But for that price you can't really go too wrong.

Dell have the best monitors. That's about it.

2nd hand, though? How old is it? Just make sure you work something out so that if it happens to shit itself a week from now you didn't just blow $500. Though that is a very nice price.

You haven't really stated what you are going to be using it for.
Is it just a portable homework machine, or is it going to replace your gaming rig?

At a certain point, the 5400 starts becoming a noticably slow hard disk.
As stated, the Graphics card could be lacking for the high end stuff.
I personally don't like the keyboard layout on that one, I also don't like the headphone jack at the front.

My 2 Dells have been awesome. The second one had an issue 6 months somewhere between the motherboard and hdd, but since it came with 1 year complete care or whatever it was, they replaced it pretty swiftly.

I also like my power to hang out the back.

BUT, for 550, you can't argue too much

well i just wanted to have a pc at mums (even if it is dial-up) also for school "work" like taking notes, playing tf at lunch. but as it stands its better than my current pc so it looks like a better option for LANs (but not for home) well he said it 4 months old but he only used it 4 time (how true that is i dont know) it still has its box/drivers/case

i just bought a new laptop from dick smith i think it was. it cost me 1300 with an extended warenty of 3 years (worth 200 dollars). i am using it for uni as well as tf2 and it works awsome for tf2 . i found it hard to get used to gaming on it but i don't mind it, i'm going to get a keyboard for it though cause its a bit annoying.

Nvidia 512mb GeForce 9600M GT
15 inch screen
camera
vista...
and yeah whatever else it has.
i'm not sure how great this all is but i'm really happy with how it runs tf2 and thats all that matters.
