| I ain't so happy with this program at the moment. It's causing much more trouble than its worth. 2-3 days ago i turned on my computer to find a steam error. Steam.exe (Main exception): Cannot open Steam.exe. So in the end i emailed Steam support, however still no reply and after hubs last topic about them im not looking forward to the answer anyway.
Long story short i accidently deleted all my games while reinstalling steam. So no TF2 for me for the time being. I did manage to get steam installed and working again. But today after booting up the computer the same problem has occured.
While i wait for steam support, i was just wondering if any M0F0's had had the same problem or might know what to do? As i am not very computer literate.

Nice, you were retarded enough to delete shit out of your SYSTEM 32 folder so you just assume Rowdy did the same? Even if he did I don't think you ever have the right to laugh at someone for deleting shit they shouldn't after your bright little idea. That's funny. Anyway Rowdy the only time I've heard of this that wasn't related to those crazy old .blob files was to do with antivirus like I said. So if Steam doesn't get back to you, perhaps switch your antivirus software to be sure.

| I just see it as an important lesson that everyone should learn. So everynew computerer should delete a random file from inside there WINDOWS folder then go and fix it.
Afterwards you feel great knowing that you were an idiot but you can fix you mistakes to nullify the idotage damage that you are able to cause.

| I hadn't touched anything in the Steam folder etc before the problem occured. So i don't think that was my problem lunchbox. However that sounds like something i would do if i had not been warned! Still have heard back from Steam Support, but who cares. The antivirus thing seems like a common factor. I had noticed after googling the problem that someone else had the same antivirus (Kaspersky) telling him/me that Steam was doing Trojan like behaviour or something. Also mentioned that the Main Exception problem was happening every 2 days. So i'll see how i go with that. Assuming it does happen again i'll be looking into changing antivirus to see if that helps. BTW you guys should see Hub in real life when he gets angry. I've got bruises. | |
